JV Dirt + Loam got our start back in the 70’s and have been spreading the best mulch and soils in Austin and throughout Central Texas for over 40 years now. We are the largest TCEQ-permitted composting facility in the Austin area. Located just 3 miles from Austin Bergstrom International Airport, our 80-acre facility is easily accessible from TX-130, Highway 183, Highway 71 and IH-35.
Our goal is to reduce and recycle waste streams in Central Texas while providing the highest-quality landscaping products and services possible. Our commitment to only using the highest-grade organic recycled source materials enables us to produce the best compost, mulch and landscape materials available.
Colton Juby

Mr. Juby has been working in the wastewater and compost industry for over 10 years and offers a valued approach to enhancing and ‘rehabbing’ facilities, which is his main area of expertise. Furthermore, Mr. Juby offers a skilled understanding of the hiring and recruitment process as he is committed to ensuring effective hiring, job placement and training processes. With the power of patience and the asset of knowledgeable experience, Mr. Juby strives to ensure careful selection of the right team members and see that our employees enjoy what they do, as they work to serve our JV Dirt customers’ needs with accuracy and dedication.
Jim Allred
Composting Specialist
Mr. Allred brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to us as he has: owned and managed multiple corporations, worked within the compost industry for over twenty-two years, innovated green waste recycling processes and even built the first permitted compost facility in Texas. His advanced leadership skills enable his proficient management of waste stream operations, overseeing testing, setting work standards and working closely with the U.S. Composting Council. As an asset and foundational member of JV Dirts’s management team, Mr. Allred is committed to ensuring exceptionally high quality standards of our compost product.
